Kilborne Park Improvements - Community Meeting at the Park
Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation invites you to a Drop-In Community Meeting regarding planned improvements to Kilborne Park in East Charlotte. The meeting will be held to seek feedback on the program and design of new recreational amenities for the park. In the event of inclement weather, the rain date for the meeting is on June 12th, 2025 from 5-7pm. The meetings will be held at the park near the parking lot. You can also provide feedback during or after the meetings on the project website: https://www.publicinput.com/Kilborne
Kilborne Park is an existing 51-acre Mecklenburg County Park located at 2600 Kilborne Drive, Charlotte, NC 28205. The park includes a cricket field, ball field, playgrounds, picnic shelters, a disc golf course, the Kilborne DIY Skate Park, parking, and restrooms.
This Improvement project will:
- Add new amenities to support the skate park in collaboration with the Charlotte Skate Foundation.
- Add paved bicycle and pedestrian connections to the surrounding neighborhood with a goal of connecting to Arnold Drive and Medallion Drive.
- The scope of this project may also include repairs/expansion of existing paved trails, wayfinding, park shelters, and/or improvements to the parking area and restroom.
