The City of Grand Rapids is seeking a $20.7 million loan from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy to fund sewer separation improvements along Godfrey Avenue, improving how stormwater and wastewater are managed. The project will install new storm and sanitary sewer systems, upgrade aging infrastructure, and separate drainage across 184 acres, with construction expected to be completed by late 2029.
Role of the Public
The public can review the project plan from March 20th to April 6th 2026. The public may provide written comments until April 6, 2026 or attend the upcoming public meeting on April 7, 2026.
Upcoming Public Meeting
A public meeting will be held to explain the proposed improvements. Written comments provided by April 6, 2026 will be included in the presentation. There will be no opportunity to provide additional comment at the meeting.
