Vision and Priorities 

These questions explore what matters most to you in the design experience of the Strollway.  

The Chavis-Dix Strollway builds upon the successful framework of signage, wayfinding, and interpretation of historical and cultural resources developed for the South Park Heritage Trail. A similar framework will be applied in a wide range of settings from residential areas to busy downtown streets that occur along the Strollway corridor.

Cultural Heritage and Community Memory

The Strollway will be designed to celebrate the rich history of the historic neighborhoods and districts that it touches and is surrounded by. Your stories and knowledge are a vital part of this project. Please share as much as you’d like. These stories may be used (with permission) to inform the design and interpretive content of the Strollway. 

8. Do you have personal stories, memories, or family history connected to the Strollway corridor, including the Third and Fourth Wards, John Chavis Memorial Park, Dix Park, or the surrounding neighborhoods and landmarks that you would like to share?
