The City of Grand Rapids is preparing a Project Planning Document (PPD) Amendment for 2027. This amendment is to include additional improvements to the approved 2023 PPD. The Amendment includes two additional watermain improvements and a new Intermediate District Elevated storage tank for FY2027. These additional projects are necessary to ensure that the reliability and functionality of the City’s water supply system is maintained for the future and in compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act.

 

Role of the Public

The public can review the Project Plan Amendments from April 10 to April 28, 2026. The public may provide written comments until April 28, 2026 or attend the upcoming public meeting on April 28, 2026. You can read the the Proposed Plan Amendment using the tab above.

 

Upcoming Public Meeting

A public meeting will be held to explain the proposed improvements. There will be no opportunity to provide additional comment at the meeting.
