A meeting was held on Thursday, October 2 at the park shelter. At that meeting, the three options below for pickleball and associated improvements were presented. As a reminder, each option costs about the same. Please review each option and answer the questions subsequent questions. You can also scroll to the bottom of the page to download a pdf of all three options.

Mason Wallace concept 1

Option 1 would use the space currently occupied by the back, unlit tennis courts and convert it to 4-6 pickleball courts, which would not include lights. The path from the parking lot to those courts would have to be made ADA accessible which would require extensive clearing and grading. This option would also make the middle, lit courts ADA accessible and provide a concrete pad for the portable toilet.

Mason Wallace concept 2

Option 2 would clear and grade an area adjacent to the middle, lit tennis courts to create a space for 4-6 pickleball courts. A plaza space would be created in between the pickleball and tennis courts. Existing lights would be upgraded and extended to cover both sets of courts. An ADA accessible path from the parking lot would be created and a concrete pad would be provided for the portable toilet. The back, unlit tennis courts and a portion of the path would be removed.

Mason Wallace concept 3

Option 3 would repurpose the multi-use field at the front of the park for 4-6 pickleball courts and 2-4 tennis courts. If our budget allows, lighting would be provided. In this option all field play would shift to the baseball field, which is large enough to accomodate various sports. ADA accessible paths would be added as well as a restroom. In this option we would also create an ADA accessible path to the middle, lit tennis courts and provide a concrete pad for the portable toilet. The back, unlit tennis courts and a portion of the path would be removed.
